Wilsons international fame was boosted in 2014 after she signed on to play Alison Lockhart. A troubled, young woman named Alison Lockhart has a dark history and falls in the love of Noah Solloway. Wilson won the Golden Globe in 2015 for Best Actress, Television Series Drama. The series also starred Maura Terney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson stated in British Vogue: "I love being able to portray characters in two perspectives." Noah imagines Alison's confident and reckless sexy side. In reality, however Alison regards herself as being dowdy. She stated: America has become so moralist and judgmental that events on this show seem to be shocking. Wilson left the show much to the surprise of viewers. But Wilson was very cryptic regarding additional details. It was my intention to quit, however I'm not permitted to talk about why she stated that during a CBS This Morning interview in August, 2018. Wilson is now focusing on films. In 2016 she starred in the film horror I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House and, in 2017, she as the mysterious PT Stella in the sci-fi rom com How to Talk to Girls at Parties. To add more of the horror genre onto her credits, she's scheduled to appear in the British film version to The Little Stranger a supernatural thriller based on the book by writer Sarah Waters. Wilson will be executive producing the movie.
